S.R.’s focus areas include Distributed Control Systems, Manufacturing Industries Strategies and Best Practices, Refining, Petrochemicals, Oil and Gas, and other process industries, Ad-vanced Software and Systems Technologies such as Optimization, APC, DCS/PAS System Architectures, and Safety Systems.

 

Venkat has over 25 years experience in Automation and Instrument Systems.  He has wide international experience and major assignments included handling entire instrumentation systems for offshore oil platforms; DCS, Safety Systems, and Measurement Systems for refineries and petrochemicals. 

Prior to ARC, Venkat was Senior Manager with Engineers India Ltd, a leading engineering and project consultancy firm in South Asia.   With Engineers India for over 20 years, Venkat has been involved in Certification of Facilities and Systems, evaluation of systems and solutions including Plant- to-Business Interface Solutions, plant audits, turnkey project co-ordination and management, supplier evaluations, and surveys for product/process certifications.  He began his career with AEG India (now GE Controls) in their projects division. 

Venkat is a graduate of Bangalore University with a Batchelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering.  He has completed advanced course in Power Electronics from Indian Institute of Science.  He also holds a Masters in Business Administration.
