Thomas’s focus areas include Operations Management, Collaborative Production Management (CPM), MES, Process Simulation, Operator Training Simulators, Advanced Process Control, Asset Optimization, Real-time Performance Management (RPM) Systems, and Process Analytics for the Chemical, Refining, Oil & Gas, and other Process Industries.
Tom has 15 years experience of broad experience in industry, government, and academia. He has hands-on research, product development, project management, and manufacturing experience in both the discrete and process industries. Throughout his career, Tom has actively been involved with the simulation and optimization of complex manufacturing processes.
Tom has been with ARC since 1999. Prior to ARC, Tom held leadership positions within the US Government and Norton Company. His responsibilities included program management and technical advising for research and development of advanced production technology, technology transfer, and facility expansion and startup projects at major chemical processing facilities.
Tom is a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and also holds a Master of Science in the Management of Technology from the Sloan School at MIT.
