Mining, Manufacturing, and Process 2008 Conference

November 12-13, 2008 - Johannesburg, South Africa

Technews Publishing and ARC are proud to invite you to MMP08, the Mining, Manufacturing, and Process 2008 conference which will be held in Johannesburg.  The theme is ‘Winning Strategies and Best Practices for Enterprise Automation and IT in Mining, Manufacturing, and Process’.

The conference will offer an excellent opportunity for delegates and presenters to network and share problems and solutions among peers working in the same industries and experiencing the same challenges.

Co-hosted by ARC, the lead organizer of the conference is Technews, publisher of niche Business-to-Business (B2B) technology titles SA Instrumentation and Control, Motion Control, Network Times, and Dataweek.  As a publisher for 25 years, the Technews name is synonymous with the production of the African continent’s most authoritative B2B publications for technology practitioners and decision makers.  Together, Technews and ARC have the extensive knowledge and resources necessary to ensure the success of this event.

Who Should Attend

CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and Engineering Professionals in the Mining, Manufacturing, and Process industries would be well advised to attend to update their knowledge of key global trends in these technology areas and to learn of their practical and profitable application.  Increasing costs of capital equipment and labor are the drivers of the search for ways to improve mine and plant productivity and manufacturing efficiencies.  Advances in instrumentation, control, and manufacturing IT systems open the way to achieve these improvements.

Executive Speakers and Panel Participants

ARC Vice President for Manufacturing, Dave Woll, and leading international industry analyst and commentator, Jim Pinto, will present keynote addresses and participate as panelists.  The balance of the panel will comprise leading local, African, and international specialists and industry analysts.

ARC VP for Strategic Services, Alan Williams, will also be on hand to share his experience gained at ARC, Mitsubishi, and Intellution.

Fourteen vendor-neutral papers will be presented by industry leading experts and analysts, and the conference program provides opportunities for delegate participation in Q&A and panel discussions.

The event presentations will not be in the form of sales pitches, but will be non-commercial, focussing on providing attendees with real knowledge they can immediately apply strategically and profitably in their organizations.
