Presenting ARC's Fourth China Forum
Achieving Breakthrough Performance with New Processes and Technologies
August 29, 2013 - Beijing, China (co-located with MICONEX)
While China’s “red hot” economic growth has cooled down quite a bit over the past couple of years, the country remains one of the world’s economic bright spots and growth engines. Facing the huge challenges and potential opportunities, China is focused on upgrading its industries and restructure its economic growth pattern during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan spanning 2011 to 2015. Consistent with this plan, domestic manufacturers are striving to grow through increasing adoption and unification of business, manufacturing, and operational intelligence. In ARC Advisory Group’s view, key technology suppliers will move beyond product, system, software, and solutions to gradually emerge as strong strategic partners to help manufacturers and other industrial enterprises implement best practices to achieve breakthrough performance through new processes and technologies.
Moving forward, owner-operators in China will look to their technology suppliers to help them identify specific optimization goals and evolving customer requirements, provide optimal lifecycle services, reduce risk, and improve environmental performance, as well as delivering the latest technology solutions across their collaborative value networks. In their quest to realize tangible economic benefits, they will demand much more integrated, open, and easy-to-use technologies and process tools.
ARC's 4th Annual China Forum, co-located with MICONEX and supported by the China Instrument and Control Society, will focus on these and other key issues that will be on “top of mind” for industrial end users, machine builders, and automation suppliers in China over the next five years. Forum participants will share forward-looking concepts and practical applications for emerging automation and IT technologies, including actual end user case studies. Major topics covered will include functional safety and cyber security, total lifecycle management and service strategies, integration of ”big data” and analytics to achieve manufacturing and operational intelligence, industrial energy savings with automation, the future of DCS, and production management in the Cloud.
More than 500 technology professionals and executives from the industrial world participated
in ARC Advisory Group's Third Annual China Forum, June 20-21, 2012 in Beijing.
