CSIA Certification Helps Minimize Risk in End User or OEM Engagements with System Integrators

Keywords: Control System Integrators Association, CSIA, Certification.

End users and OEMs alike face an increasingly competitive global environment and an increasingly limited pool of skilled workers. Engineering and technical knowledge is being lost at a prodigious rate and everyone is being asked to "do more with less." At the same time, it's critical for companies to reduce time-to-profitability by bringing a new or reengineered product into production as quickly and as efficiently as possible. As a result, more than ever, end users and OEMs rely on third-party system integrators to supplement their own internal re-sources.

While there certainly is no shortage of available SIs, it's important to select a firm that can provide appropriate project management and technical expertise, specific industry and application expertise, and is a viable business on solid financial footing. The Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) offers its members a rigorous auditing/certification program that should provide end users and OEMs with confidence about a particular SI's specific project management, industry expertise, technical capabilities and general business viability to help minimize risk and ensure successful professional engagements.
