Dassault Systèmes (DS) held its annual industry analyst event at its world headquarters in Velizy (Paris) June 7th and 8th. At the event, DS executives focused on the progress to date in fulfilling the company's 3DEXPERIENCE platform vision: to "provide business, and people with 3DEXPERIENCE universes to imagine sustainable innovations capable of harmonizing product, nature, and life." DS CEO, Bernard Charles, further made it clear that the company is making its purpose relevant across several major areas of business and society. These include:

  • Cities for people
  • Resources and energy for the long term
  • Global and personalized health
  • Supplying globally, producing locally
  • Inspirational education and research

The company's goal is to move well beyond being a PLM provider to offer a host of applications, content, and services that cover a wide range across business, industry, science, and society.

PLM Market Leader Becomes Leader in New Experiences
Today, the DS portfolio offers 11 major brands across its 3DEXPERIENCE compass, 12 industry solution experiences, and 12 global field operations to support customer experiences. Going forward, there will be an additional focus on the 3DEXPERIENCE as a service for data-centric and data-driven web-based services. However, we're seeing a very purposeful move toward the 3DEXPERIENCE platform being more of a science-based platform.
