Future of Mobility

The Future of Mobility Session

Transportation is one of the fastest evolving sectors of our economy. A Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform is a new concept describing transport alternatives to personally-owned automobiles. A MaaS subscriber pays for access to transport rather than their own vehicle, maintenance, taxes, insurance, and parking. Connected and autonomous vehicles use sensing and computing power to enhance or replace human driving, creating new possibilities in safety and convenience. Of course, all of this technology is not deployed in a vacuum and will require an intelligent infrastructure and policy environment to thrive.

This session will feature case studies and perspectives highlighting the business opportunities of shared mobility, sometimes powered by autonomous vehicle technology, as well as the role public agencies need to play. Learn how the next generation of travelers will transform their habits, reduce single-occupant vehicles, reduce transportation expenses, travel safer, and increase profitability of customer-focused mobility services.
