On May 21-22, 2019, ARC Advisory Group will host its European Industry Forum (EIF) in the Meliã Hotel Sitges in Spain.  The European Industry Forum is part of ARC’s successful series of worldwide conferences in the USA, India, China, and Japan.

Olivier Vallemont, Technical Manager, Eurial Ultra Frais, and Stéphane Crepet, Productys, will give us insights into “MES in real life: the challenge of integrating a new application into an existing production IT landscape”.

MES in Real Life: The Challenge of Integrating a New Application into an Existing Production IT Landscape

Eurial Ultra Frais collected, stored, and transcribed important amounts of data on its processes and equipment in systems that had grown with the assets over time.  This reality needed to be taken into account at the start of an MES project.  Otherwise, it could have become another silo in the jungle of applications and databases: ERP, Oracle, MS SQL Server, INSQL, MS Access and Excel on the one hand, and automation and industrial networking on the other, which are not always fully supported by IT.

The objectives of the project were paperless operations management, real-time performance indicators and ultimately to build a business intelligence tool that will be integrated into the future Industrie 4.0 production facility.
