OPEN-SCS stands for OPEN Serialization Communication Standard.  The mission of the group is to specify functional interoperability of packaging serialization solutions to seamlessly integrate the operations and business processes across organizations and regulatory bodies, by aligning with other industry groups and standards whenever appropriate.  OPEN-SCS is part of the OPC Foundation whose mandate is to allow information exchange to be easily and securely done between diverse platforms from multiple vendors with seamless integration of those platforms without costly, time-consuming software development.  This presentation will cover the latest developments on the OPEN-SCS standard and explain why it is so important.
