On May 21-22, 2019, ARC Advisory Group will host its European Industry Forum (EIF) in the Meliã Hotel Sitges in Spain.  The European Industry Forum is part of ARC’s successful series of worldwide conferences in the USA, India, China, and Japan.

Ulrich Christmann, Key Expert Automation Strategy at Bayer, will provide us with an update on “Plug and Produce: ante portas - An Update of the Joint Initiative for Modular Production and Automation Concepts”.

This presentation will provide us with a status update of the Joint Initiative for Modular Production and Automation Concepts (Plug & Produce initiative, modular production concepts and modular automation) of Process Net, NAMUR, ZEVI and VUMA from the end user perspective of a life science company.  The presentation will discuss different application scenarios and depict the short-term roadmap with respect to next steps and expected or available products on the market.  It will also touch on the increasing interest of different industries (biotech, pharma, food & beverage) in this concept and explain the collaboration model with e.g. BioPhorum, ISPE and OPAF.
