Bentley Systems’ acquisition of Indian concrete building design and documentation software firm S-Cube Futuretech builds on a four-year long collaboration between the two companies to develop fully integrated concrete design and analysis applications. Against a backdrop of an urbanization trend and the growth of cities across the developing world, the acquisition orientates Bentley’s offerings specific to the needs of concrete engineering design and documentation software users in India, Southeast Asia, as well as the Middle East.

S-Cube Futuretech’s applications, including RCDC, RCDC FE, RCDC Plan, and Steel Autodrafter, deliver design and documentation solutions for structural concrete building engineers and designers.  Automated concrete documentation is localized to regional requirements and provides users with capabilities complementary to Bentley’s structural analysis, steel design, and BIM applications, STAAD, RAM, and AECOsim Building Designer.

For S-Cube Futuretech, which was founded in Mumbai in 2012, the acquisition will allow it to scale its solutions to a much broader market. For Bentley Systems, the Indian company brings its experience in providing concrete design and drawing automation for the fast-growing India, Southeast Asia and Middle East markets.
