ARC’s European Industry Forum is part of our successful series of worldwide conferences in Europe, America and Asia. The next European Forum will be held in Sitges (Barcelona), Spain on May 4-6, 2026 and focus on “Achieving Resilient Operations through AI, Digitalization, and Sustainability”. Participants are invited to attend exclusive presentations and workshops on strategies and case studies from the digital front lines.

ARC industry analysts and experts from the end user and supplier communities will analyze and discuss trends and drivers covering the currently relevant industry topics.

Digital Services and Digital Twins
The Digital Asset track at this year’s EIF will explore important topics that have been identified by ARC’s analysts, resulting n two sessions: “Data-Driven Automation and Digital Services – Enabling Efficient and Resilient Operations” and “Digital Twins: Perspectives and Outlook”.

Data-Driven Automation and Digital Services – Enabling Efficient and Resilient Operations
Today, digital technology is being used in new ways far beyond the traditional methods. Modern services use online platforms that predict problems before they happen, and other ways to work together remotely. In this session, industry experts will talk about how these new technologies change the way companies work, increase the throughput, make equipment last longer, and help to avoid unexpected breakdowns.

Participants will explore how advanced analytics, KPI dashboards, and modern data platforms convert raw plant data into meaningful insights. By integrating these tools into daily operations, engineers and operators can make faster, data-driven decisions that enhance plant efficiency, optimize resource usage, and improve overall performance. Through real-world examples and system architectures, the discussion will demonstrate how virtualization and edge-cloud convergence create scalable, future-proof automation environments. The panel will highlight practical approaches to unifying data across legacy and modern communication protocols, enabling seamless information flow and end-to-end visibility.

Digital Twins: Perspectives and Outlook
Digital twin technology has established itself as one of the most transformative enablers for asset-intensive industries, as digitalization continues to drive change in industrial markets. In this session, we will explore both the challenges and opportunities that digital twin adoption brings for end users and solution providers. Participants will hear real-world perspectives on how digital twins are being applied across sectors to optimize asset performance, improve decision-making, and reduce downtime. At the same time, we will address critical barriers such as data integration, organizational readiness, and the complexity of scaling from pilot projects to enterprise-wide deployments.

Key themes of the discussion will include openness, interoperability, and standards, which remain essential for ensuring digital twins can seamlessly connect across heterogeneous systems and multi-vendor environments. We will also highlight the role of advanced analytics, AI, and simulation in extending the value of digital twins, as well as the importance of cybersecurity and trust in data exchange.
