The platform aims to help enable interoperability, real-time data visibility, and scalable manufacturing workflows across asset-intensive industries.
Hitachi Digital Services announced that it is strengthening operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) integration through the deployment of a Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) platform. The platform is designed to help support the transformation of discrete manufacturing environments into more resilient and sustainable smart factories. It is also expected to help expand the HMAX Industry solutions portfolio and serve as a foundation for industrial AI–driven modernization.
Built on an open, modular integration architecture, the MOM platform helps to enable interoperability across diverse product lifecycle management and OT systems. This will help to allow deployment across asset-intensive sectors, such as energy, high tech, manufacturing, and transportation. The approach reflects the growing importance of unified data environments to help enable more consistent visibility across engineering, production, and quality processes.
The platform delivers several core capabilities:
A continuous digital thread helps to enable real-time, end-to-end traceability from design through manufacturing and quality management.
Data-driven decision-making through analysis of field data helps to optimize quality, cost, and delivery.
Scalable workflows that help to support agile production systems and enable faster response to changing market and customer demand.
The MOM platform has been refined across over 100 mission-critical manufacturing sites and is now being deployed internally across Hitachi Group factories through a “Customer Zero” approach. This internal adoption is intended to help validate performance, improve productivity through human-machine collaboration, and support the transition toward more sustainable operations.
Over time, the platform is expected to evolve as part of the broader HMAX by Hitachi portfolio, which focuses on applying AI to industrial and social infrastructure through the integration of physical and digital asset data.
