Siemens reinforced its position in India as a technology leader in Industrial AI, digital twins, automation, and electrification at its flagship event Transform – Siemens Innovation Day 2026. The event brought together CXOs, industry leaders, policymakers, partners and technology experts to experience how Siemens is shaping the next chapter of India’s industrial, infrastructure and mobility transformation - at speed, at scale, and with measurable impact. Siemens has over 700 digital references deployed across India in collaboration with 25 ecosystem partners.

Siemens TransformDuring the keynote address, it was emphasized by Dr. Peter Koerte, Member of the Managing Board, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, Siemens AG that the AI revolution is being regarded as equally transformative for this century as electricity was for the previous one. The importance of integrating AI into the practical aspects of industry—such as factories, infrastructure, and energy systems—was highlighted. It was also noted that India is being recognized not only as a crucial participant in this transformation but as a vital leader. With a partnership spanning 150 years in the country, the role of Siemens in converting the promise of Industrial AI into tangible outcomes was underlined.

Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Limited, in his opening remarks, stated that as the Indian economy continues to grow rapidly and as industries undergo modernization, competitiveness will be determined by the effectiveness with which businesses leverage digitalization, Industrial AI, and automation to simultaneously enhance productivity, resilience, and decarbonization. At Transform 2026, the potential of the Siemens ecosystem—where the physical and digital worlds are brought together—was showcased to demonstrate how Indian industries can transform ambition into execution, and routine operations into engines for sustained growth.

Siemens demonstrated how Industrial AI is moving decisively from experimentation to enterprise-wide deployment. Live showcases illustrated how AI, automation, software, and electrification converge to help customers boost productivity and throughput while reducing downtime and energy intensity, shorten design-to-production cycles using digital twins and simulation, and improve asset performance and resilience across factories, infrastructure, and utilities.

With 10,000+ engineers, software architects and domain experts working on Industrial AI, digital twins, automation software, electrification, and cybersecurity, Siemens Global Innovation and Development Centers in Bengaluru and Pune are central to the company’s worldwide technology roadmap. 

Siemens’ software engineers in India work on core technologies that form the backbone of some of the global product announcements including the Siemens’ Digital Reality Viewer and the recently launched Siemens’ Digital Twin Composer, both of which were showcased at Transform – Siemens Innovation Day 2026. The solutions represent key building blocks in Siemens’ vision of an Industrial AI operating system, moving digital twins beyond files and dashboards to experiential, high-fidelity environments that enable faster decision making, validation and optimization across the lifecycle.
