Mat has over 39 years' experience in downstream R&D and line positions in refining and marketing. Presently as part of manufacturing talent management program development, Mat is program managing development and implementation of Competency Management Systems (CMS) across 10 manufacturing petrochemical and refining sites for about 10,000 employees. This includes introduction of use of immersive technology systems for competence assurance in operations and maintenance. Prior to this, he had implemented the new Learning & Development System for Manufacturing, headed the Central Technical Services function in Jamnagar, as well as many other manufacturing projects related to the Jamnagar super refining complex. Before joining RIL, Mat held a variety of responsibilities and positions at ExxonMobil including technology development and Implementation and technical services management.
