After finishing his PhD in theoretical physics in 2010, Michael joined the Competence Center for Automation at BASF in Ludwigshafen. From 2013-2018, he was responsible for a team concerned with DCS systems and automation aspects such as alarm management and high-performance HMI. Since 2018, Michael has been appointed Senior Expert and leads a team for control systems and business integration. He is also the head of the NAMUR working divisions 2.1 “DCS and PLC” and 4.20 “Remote Operation” and is involved in NAMUR’s Industrie 4.0 activities.
