There are disruptive changes in electric grids worldwide as generation moves from central stations toward distributed renewables and new efforts are made to create integrated transactional electric grids that enables demand response at the industrial, commercial, and residential level. This is the largest systems integration problem of our time and successful innovative solutions are needed.
