Octávio has 15+ years of experience in instrumentation and control systems, spanning applications engineering, automation projects, and electronic R&D. He has contributed to projects and events across South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, with expertise in fiscal flow metering and the sugar & ethanol, oil & gas, and chemical industries. At Nova Smar, he serves on the engineering team for the Open Process Automation Standard (O-PAS). His interests include Fieldbus, communication protocols, SCADA, and control systems integration. Octávio holds a B.Sc. in Control and Automation Engineering and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Automation and Industrial Electrical Systems).
