Juan Manuel Escaño has a PhD in Control Engineering and Robotics. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Seville and a Senior member of IEEE, ISA, and EUSFLAT. He is also Coordinator of the Intelligent Control Group of the Spanish Automation Committee (CEA). Previously, he was leader of the Monitoring and Control Group of the Nimbus Research Centre, MTU (Cork, Ireland). He has more than 30 years of experience in academia and industry. His research interests are focused on cyberattack-tolerant industrial systems, intelligent control systems and model predictive control.
