Moritz researches real-time systems at the Institute for Control of Machine Tools (ISW), where he completed his PhD thesis on orchestrating virtualized industrial controllers (vPLCs, vCNCs) in edge computing setups with Time-Sensitive Networking backbone. He specialises in industrial control and communication systems, and has led multiple industry-funded projects on real-time virtualization. Through his startup, Novomation, he helps companies future-proof control architectures, including virtualization-based modular solutions for plant manufacturers.
