Axel has been CEO of Process Automation, Siemens Digital Industries in Karlsruhe since October 2022. The graduate engineer was previously Vice President Control as well as Segment Head Automation Systems at Siemens Digital Industries, Factory Automation. Prior to this, he held various other roles, including Head of Sales and Verticals at Siemens Process Automation and General Manager of the Siemens Automation & Engineering Business Segment, responsible for process control systems for several years. Born in Berlin, Axel studied Electrical Engineering at the Berlin University of Technology. He started his professional career in 1992 as an Engineer at Siemens in Berlin. With his commitment to technology and passion for innovation, he has since been shaping the future of process industries together with partners and customers.
