David Werner is the OT and Laboratory Cybersecurity Lead at DuPont, where he drives the global strategy for securing operational technology across more than 70 production sites. He leads the development and execution of DuPont’s OT Cybersecurity roadmap, spanning technology selection, deployment planning, and standardized implementation. David established and oversees DuPont’s Cyber Champions Network, a global community of more than 120 trained practitioners who support the rollout of cybersecurity standards and best practices. He designed over 30 hours of training content and built a sustainable model for site-level engagement and capability growth. He also leads enterprise tabletop exercises to validate disaster recovery readiness—creating the templates, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and partnering with business leaders, site leaders, and Cyber Champions to ensure consistent execution. Insights from these exercises feed directly into continuous improvement at the plant level.
