Gerard began his journey in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and grew up in Queens, New York. He earned a Chemical Engineering Bachelor’s degree from the Stevens Institute of Technology and joined Exxon Research & Engineering in the mid 1990s, launching a career that has spanned three decades at ExxonMobil. Throughout his tenure, Gerard has held a wide range of individual contributor and leadership positions over both local and global organizations. His experience includes leadership positions at major manufacturing sites in Baytown, Baton Rouge, and Joliet, as well as enterprise roles focused on molecule optimization and technology development and deployment focused, always laser focused on value creation and continuous improvement. Over time, his work expanded from unit level design, to plant level operations to now shaping global strategies at the intersection of technology and operations. Today, Gerard serves as ExxonMobil Global Operations Digital Manager, serving Upstream, Downstream and Midstream Operations. He integrates his deep operational background with the dynamic & ever evolving digital landscape to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations worldwide.
