Jacob Partain is a Senior Cyber Security and Process Control Engineer at BASF. Jacob began his career in 2012 working as a Cyberspace Operations Officer for the U.S. Air Force. After leaving public service in 2016, Jacob came to BASF with a unique perspective and passion for cyber risk management, especially for operational technology. Jacob now leads a global team of risk analysts at BASF, responsible for conducting compliance and risk-based assessments for industrial control systems. Accordingly, Jacob is a key contributor to BASF’s global IT/OT converged governance framework. Jacob also serves as a project engineer, securing the rapid growth of industrial networking, virtualization, remote access, and production data analytics. Jacob holds a B.S in computer and electrical engineering from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Oklahoma State University.
