An Industrial Copilot is a Generative AI-powered interface integrated into industrial software applications (MES, ERP, CMMS, CAD) designed to augment human workers by acting as an intelligent, conversational assistant. Unlike autonomous agents, Copilots are reactive and designed for collaboration. They utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) grounded in domain-specific data to assist with tasks such as generating PLC code, summarizing complex shift handover reports, troubleshooting active alarms, or querying technical documentation via natural language.

The Industrial Copilot represents the "democratization" phase of the AI revolution. A Copilot acts as a force multiplier, allowing a junior technician to access the accumulated wisdom of the organization.
