Finnish IoT software platform supplier CyberLightning Ltd. announced that it has joined the Industrial Internet Consortium led by General Electric. Founded in 2010, in May 2014 the company launched the CyberVille software platform, a strategic tool to control complex sensor and machine networks in the context of the real world where they are deployed.
CyberVille provides a multilayered 3D view of industrial internet systems and combines models and geospatial data with inputs from multiple sensor and control networks. CyberVille is intended to allow corporate customers to capture data from numerous sensors and measurement points, to analyze the captured data, and to present it in business intelligence dashboards. System status can be viewed and managed from both mobile devices and control rooms via point-and-click controls. The solution is currently in the proof-of-concepts and pilot phase.
The company's targets for its "3D Internet of Things" concept include Smart Cities and the Energy Sector. From what we've seen to date, their offering appears to marry the universal visualization inherent in the Industrial Internet of Things with 3D capabilities.
