The Wireless IoT Forum has been launched to support and promote the deployment of the Internet of Things worldwide. The Forum has been created to drive the widespread adoption of wireless wide-area networking technologies in both licensed and unlicensed spectrum. It will work with key stakeholders from across the value chain to agree requirements that inform and accelerate standards development and deployments.
The Wireless IoT Forum will strive to ensure market representation for companies building the ecosystem and work to promote and market the benefits for the complete ecosystem including: fixed and wireless network operators, infrastructure providers, app developers in utilities, government and specialist SMEs, semiconductor vendors, radio technology providers, module developers, systems integrators and vertical end-users.
The Forum's first Plenary will be held on 29th of April 2015 and it is actively recruiting new members. http://www.wiotf.org
