Autodesk has signed an agreement to acquire SeeControl, a San Francisco-based developer of an enterprise Internet of Things (IoT) cloud service platform. The SeeControl service helps manufacturers and systems integrators connect, analyze, control, and manage remote products, things, and assets and create new service revenue opportunities.
Through this agreement, the companies plan to bring the point-and-click power of SeeControl's IoT Cloud Service to a broader range of customers and partners. Autodesk intends to continue to sell and support the SeeControl platform and to incorporate the technology into design solutions for the manufacturing and building industries. SeeControl will be working to integrate their technology across the Autodesk product line to create a complete and modern enterprise SaaS offering that fulfills the promise of the Internet of Things.
