Siemens Wind Power Inks Contract With Axiscades Engineering Technologies

​Axiscades Engineering Technologies has entered into a five-year strategic agreement with Siemens Wind Power to set up an overseas development center for the latter in Hyderabad, India, with an investment of about $3 million. This center will start with 50 engineers and will scale up to 300 engineers over the next three years. Siemens Wind Power is a leading manufacturer of wind turbines employing more than 12,000 people.

The Bengaluru-based Axiscades expects to work on Siemens' wind power generation designs and technologies, besides providing engineering services to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The company focuses on aerospace, heavy engineering, automotive and industrial domains. Axiscades' clients include Caterpillar, Airbus, Bombardier, Volvo, and Mercedes. Sudhakar Gande, Vice-Chairman, Axiscades said that this agreement shows the company's  commitment to engineering expertise in core sectors in the world market like renewable energy, aerospace, and heavy industries.
