Oliver Narr initiated his career with an apprenticeship as an associated engineer in Automation Systems at Siemens and further fortified his expertise with a Diploma and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Technische Hochschule Nürnberg. He launched his professional tenure at Siemens as a software development engineer. During this period, he contributed to the development of automation engineering tools like the TIA Portal. He later transitioned into sales, taking up the position of marketing manager, and subsequently served as the Head of Product Management Software Options & Cloud Business for Factory Automation. In recent years, Oliver has served as the Director of the internal start-up, Industrial Edge at Siemens, holding P&L responsibility from 2018 to 2022. Since 2022, he has been responsible for managing the virtual SIMATIC PLC value stream at Siemens Factory Automation. On a personal note, Oliver is passionate about spending time with family, engaging in sports, home automation, and making music. He first came into contact with PLC at the age of 12 and began his programming journey with it at the age of 20.
