Octávio Paschoal is an automation and control systems specialist with more than 15 years of experience in instrumentation, process automation, applications engineering, and research and development. Based in Brazil, he has contributed to projects and industry events across South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, developing extensive expertise in fiscal flow metering and the sugar and ethanol, oil and gas, and chemical sectors. At Nova Smar, Octávio serves as a member of the Open Process Automation Standard (O-PAS) engineering team. His professional interests include fieldbus technologies, industrial communication protocols, SCADA systems, control system integration, and advanced automation solutions. Octávio holds a B.Sc. in Control and Automation Engineering and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, with specialization in Automation and Industrial Electrical Systems.
