Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced that it has successfully completed the previously announced separation of its Enterprise Services business (ES or Everett Spinco), and merged it with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) to create DXC Technology (DXC).
The spin-merge of the ES business is intended to unlock a stronger, more focused HPE, well positioned to compete and win in today’s rapidly changing market.
Inductive Automation, an industrial automation software company based in Folsom, California, released Ignition Edge, a new line of Ignition products developed for the edge of the network. One of the products was developed in collaboration with Cirrus Link Solutions. Inductive Automation also launched a free trial of Ignition Edge on its website.
Schlumberger announced the introduction of the Lift IQ production life cycle management service, which offers monitoring, diagnostics and optimization of artificial lift systems in real-time. This new service securely collects, transmits, evaluates, and interprets data from customer wells to improve production efficiency, extend equipment run life, and reduce operating costs.

Seeq Corporation, an OSIsoft partner, announced the imminent release of Seeq R17, which includes new features expanding support for the OSIsoft PI System.

Rockwell Automation introduced a new line of Allen Bradley Kinetix VPC servo motors, designed to allow manufacturers to run machines at higher speeds and higher torque, helping to improve machine throughput.
A cooling fan and cooling fins on the motor provide increased torque and power output. In addition, encoder options with improved resolution and accuracy provide more precise and responsive control, which is important for multiple industries, such as printing.

Halliburton has introduced SPECTRUM FUSION service, the newest offering in the SPECTRUM family of real-time coiled tubing services. The FUSION service includes the reported first real-time system in the market using hybrid cable technology that combines fiber optic and electric to provide downhole communication and continuous power for a variety of diagnostic applications.
