Yokogawa Electric Corporation announced that it has developed Process Data Analytics, an application program that can detect a decline in quality or productivity at an early stage of the manufacturing process by analyzing process data, facility status information, operation history, and other data. Used in combination with Yokogawa's analytical services, this software is a quality stabilization solution that can help companies stabilize and continuously improve the quality of their products. This software will be released for sale in March 2017.

PTC announced the availability of ThingWorx Analytics Builder, the latest component of its ThingWorx Internet of Things (IoT) platform. ThingWorx Analytics Builder is an interactive user interface for creating and managing advanced analytic models for use in ThingWorx-powered solutions. Schneider Electric Launches Prometheus to Configure Multiple Types and Brands of Control System Components
Schneider Electric announced Prometheus, a configuration tool used for defining, programming and documenting multiple components in an industrial control system, from the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to the I/O. Prometheus introduces a high-level open programming environment that helps to automate complex configuration tasks and enable the configuration of control components of multiple types or brands.

IBM unveiled a $200 million USD investment in the new global headquarters for its Watson Internet of Things (IoT) business in Munich, new IoT capabilities around Blockchain and security, and an array of clients that are driving real outcomes by using Watson IoT technologies to draw insights from billions of sensors embedded in machines, cars, drones, ball bearings, pieces of equipment, and even hospitals.

Rockwell Automation released its new FactoryTalk Batch View software that enables users to access real-time information and interact with their process from any device and location through a common user interface. Schneider Electric recently announced the launch of Hub Height Wind forecasting capabilities within their WeatherSentryOnline platform. These forecasting capabilities provide wind speeds, wind gusts, and wind direction forecasts seven days in advance at different heights of turbines.
