Keynote: IT/OT Convergence at Audi
The information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) convergence is happening and is slowly gaining speed in the industry. Audi is pushing this transformation with the introduction of Edge Cloud 4 Production (EC4P). EC4P is the beginning of a new paradigm in the Audi production towards a software defined Factory. In the future the carmaker is aiming to establish a central platform for all shop floor applications, varying from data intensive MES systems to latency critical virtual PLCs (with safety function).
The keynote will be held by Sven Müller, Project Manager for Edge Cloud 4 Production at Audi, where he is responsible for the development and rollout of a new software platform and the onboarding/refactoring of applications within the shop floor IT. He will be joined by Oliver Narr, Value Stream Manager at Siemens.
