Azbil Obtains ISASecure EDSA Certification for Its DCS Controller

Azbil Corporation announced that it has obtained ISASecure EDSA certification - an internationally recognized certification for the security of control systems – for DOPC IV, the main process controller for the integrated monitoring and control system known as Harmonas, Industrial-DEO, and Harmonas-DEO.

ISASecure Embedded Device Security Assurance (EDSA) certification is one of the security certification programs developed by the ISA Security Compliance Institute (ISCI) for control systems. It is a certification program for ensuring the security of embedded control devices. Products are evaluated based on Communication Robustness Testing (CRT) for communication performance, Functional Security Assessment (FSA) for security functions, and Software Development Security Assessment (SDSA) for security in different phases of software development.

The EDSA certification for Azbil's DCS controller, DOPC IV, was obtained through a process that involved an examination and evaluation by the CSSC (Control System Security Center) Certification Laboratory in Japan. It ensures that DOPC IV is equipped with the cyber security features to be used in the process industries and infrastructure operation.
