OpenAI’s recent model misalignment reports highlight a growing enterprise AI challenge: as agents move from generating recommendations to executing multi-step workflows, the issue becomes not only what models can do, but how reliably organizations can govern what those models are allowed to do.

For supply chain and logistics organizations, that shifts attention toward execution architecture. Identity, permissions, transaction limits, observability, audit trails, human approval points, and exception handling increasingly need to surround agentic systems so that autonomy remains bounded when workflows encounter missing data, conflicting systems, or unexpected conditions.
