ARC’s European Industry Forum is part of our successful series of worldwide conferences in Europe, America and Asia. The next European Forum will be held in Sitges (Barcelona), Spain on May 15 - 17, 2023 and focus on “Managing Industry Evolution in Times of Global Disruption”. Participants are invited to attend exclusive presentations and workshops on strategies and case studies from the digital front lines.

ARC industry analysts and other experts from the end user and supplier communities will analyze and discuss trends and drivers for hot industry topics, such as:

Cool Robotic Innovations

Traditional industrial robots have been part of manufacturing processes for decades and still play an important role in many manufacturing areas. Yet today, new industrial robots are taking on tasks that were unthinkable just a few years ago. Collaborative robots (Cobots), drones and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) offer completely new functionalities and capabilities.

Collaborative robots are designed to work alongside humans and are particularly suited to environments that require flexibility and adaptability. They implementation dissolves the rigid spatial separation between man and machine into a common, shared workspace.

Drones can execute tasks that until now where impossible or highly dangerous for the workforce, from inventories in a high-rise warehouse to inspections and surveys of infrastructure like smokestacks and pipelines. On an industrial site they can transport urgently needed parts in record time. Drones are furthermore used for safety and security tasks, flying pattern over and around a pre-defined area.

Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) can pick, transport, and sort items in production and internal logistics without human intervention. They help to unlock the enormous potential of the integrated smart factory by connecting logistics and production processes more efficiently. In conjunction with other automation technologies, their benefits include the prevention of product damage, reduction of labor costs, and increased productivity.
