Schneider Electric and Prisma Photonics partner to increase integrity and efficiency for Oil and Gas pipeline operators and owners

Schneider Electric and Prisma Photonics, a provider of fiber sensing for smart infrastructure, announced a partnership to help oil and gas pipeline owners and operators to better prevent accidental and malicious activity by providing real-time intelligence and more precise monitoring of oil and gas infrastructure. As a result, customers can help to drive additional efficiency and sustainability through energy and resource loss avoidance.

With this commercial agreement, Schneider Electric is helping to strengthen its technology, solutions and expertise to help its customers expand the reliability and sustainability of their pipeline operations.

Prisma Photonics’ PrismaFlow, a comprehensive pipeline monitoring solution comprising both hardware and software, can help to reduce positive and negative false alarm rates versus other fiber-sensing solutions with its Hyper-Scan technology, offering up to 100x greater sensitivity.

The system's machine learning unit offers additional improvement in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), allowing for more accurate event classification. By leveraging pre-existing fiber-optic cables as “sensors”, PrismaFlow helps to eliminate the need to invest in new, dedicated fibers and the installation and maintenance of a high number of dedicated sensors along the pipeline.

The PrismaFlow technology helps to provide faster oil and gas pipeline management and prevent accidental, criminal or malicious activity, thus helping to better ensure a more secure pipeline infrastructure.

PrismaFlow can detect and flag events, such as leaks, mechanical and manual digging, theft, vandalism, third-party interference, inline pigging devices, pedestrian activity, vehicle movement, and drone activity. Operators receive real-time event locations so they may take immediate action without having to worry about noise or false alarms.

Schneider Electric Expands Support of Liquid Cooled IT with Chilldyne Partnership that will Deliver the Next Evolution in Innovative, Sustainable Liquid Cooling to the Data Center

Schneider Electric has entered into an Alliance Partnership with Chilldyne, a provider of liquid cooling solutions for data centers. Through the agreement, Schneider Electric will offer the Chilldyne Negative Pressure Liquid Cooling Solution complementing its full portfolio of Uniflair cooling and chiller solutions to help enhance data center sustainability and efficiency.

Chilldyne holds patents on negative pressure liquid cooling technology that allows for leak-proof cooling of the high-temperature chips and GPUs. The negative pressure approach helps to mitigate risk, lower the total cost of cooling, and improve server uptime. This partnership will allow Schneider Electric to provide worldwide distribution with service and support.

The partnership gives system designers and customers the ability to deploy higher performance liquid cooled computing, while at the same time helping to improve energy efficiency, white space optimization, and achieve a lower TCO.  This next evolution in sustainable data center cooling is designed to be better, cheaper and more efficient than the air cooling it replaces.

Schneider Electric and GreenYellow partner to accelerate the low-carbon trajectory of large companies worldwide

As the COP26 has just concluded in Glasgow with the intention to help strengthen the action of governments and stakeholders in the fight against climate change, Schneider Electric and GreenYellow have announced a partnership to provide specific solutions to help meet the net-zero challenges of large, international companies.

GreenYellow and Schneider Electric signed a 3-year partnership agreement to provide Schneider Electric and GreenYellow's international customers with fully funded energy efficiency programs and technologies that can be deployed across their sites in all territories where they operate. Schneider Electric and GreenYellow will specialize in the multinational, energy-intensive industrial segment and target those companies who would like to decarbonize quickly.

The partnership will be deployed initially in the 16 countries where GreenYellow operates across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, with new countries possible depending on customer needs.

Schneider Electric will bring to the partnership its consulting expertise in defining operational decarbonization roadmaps as well as EcoStruxure Resource Advisor, the digital platform to record emissions data and progress towards corporate decarbonization goals. GreenYellow will bring its know-how in energy efficiency, which will help to ensure the installation of more efficient technologies and their follow-up, commit to performance guarantees and carry the investment in order to propose fully financed programs.

Through the partnership, GreenYellow aims at a minimum investment of €100 million worldwide, equivalent to the energy efficiency programs deployed in several hundred plants and generating several hundred GWh of energy savings per year for its customers.
