ARC’s European Industry Forum is part of our successful series of worldwide conferences in Europe, America and Asia. The next European Forum will be held in Sitges (Barcelona), Spain on May 15 - 17, 2023 and focus on “Managing Industry Evolution in Times of Global Disruption”. Participants are invited to attend exclusive presentations and workshops on strategies and case studies from the digital front lines.

Peter Kwaspen leads the OT, IT and IOT projects and research at Shell, with the objective to reduce operations and maintenance (human) interventions to improve asset reliability and performance as enablers for Asset of the Future. In his Keynote he will answer the question of “How digital information from instrumentation supports asset management systems”.

“Asset of the Future” Strategy

21st Century Operations? What about your 20th Century investments? Has your company adapted to the new normal or is it still in a state of disruption? Has your company's digital strategy been developed and validated? Industrial innovation and transformation is accelerating and if your company does not hop on that train it may be left behind. But where to start?

Peter’s Keynote will not provide a recipe on how to manage the industry evolution in your company. It will give you an insight in one of the digital programs at Shell where significant additional value is unearthed by taking advantage of a systematically overlooked opportunity: exploit 20th century technology investments. Discover why Field Device Technology (FDT) is more than just an engineering configuration tool and how Shell integrates FDT information in existing business processes.
