INOVx Releases a New Inspection Application
INOVx Solutions announced the release of its new, innovative Inspection Application, called INOVx INSPECTION, at the 2015 API Inspection Summit. Built upon its flagship RealityLINx software, INOVx INSPECTION enables a step change in how the industry plans, executes and analyzes inspections; and it is the first vertical in a series of Asset Virtualization applications that INOVx is developing to address various functions at industrial plants.

INOVx INSPECTION replaces the disjointed, static 2D inspection drawings with accurate 3D dynamic models. The models go beyond just accurately maintaining and presenting the inspection data within the plant's physical context, and also integrate with other asset data streams including corrosion readings, engineering specs., operational parameters and maintenance records.

From a planning and execution perspective, INOVx INSPECTION enables plants to implement inspection programs, such as Risk Based Inspection (RBI) programs, in 50% of the time and cost of the traditional approach, while reducing the annual cost of inspection by as much 30%-40%. This is mainly due to the ability of significantly reducing inspection point counts; optimizing field access and reducing technicians' time and scaffolding costs. This is all while enhancing the quality of the reliability programs by offering asset data that is accurate and up-to-date.

As for the analysis and the understanding of the ever-growing streams of inspection data, INOVx INSPECTION provides unique tools to visualize corrosion trends and risk areas right in 3D, enabling better and faster resolution to potential issues.

RealityLINx is an advanced 3D virtualization software application and is the core of INOVx's Asset Virtualization solutions. RealityLINx enables end-users to "virtually" navigate and walk-through their plant from their desktops.

Enabling robust and sustainable solutions, Version 6.0 has introduced new and unique Management of Change (MoC) capabilities, making asset data of industrial plants more trusted, accurate and reliable throughout plant lifecycle.

RealityLINx V6.0 enables operators of industrial plants to move with confidence away from static 2D documents and siloes of asset data into a modern, dynamic and integrated 3D virtual environment. Since 3D virtual models are a true reflection of what exists in reality, keeping these models up-to-date is a critical element for effectively managing the performance of process plants.

RealityLINx V6.0 provides 24/7 operational support and asset data availability, and employs patented technology for a structured approach to MoC. The unique technology enables a defined and controlled process for making changes to asset data, including: authorization function, approval processes, change history, audit trail as well as new and robust data management tools to manage physical data such as 3D laser scanning and point clouds.

In addition to its rigorous MoC workflow, RealityLINx V6.0 provides an important capability called Work Sharing, enabling plant staff to send model-updating tasks to other organizations, such as engineering subcontractors or offshore service providers. This is especially useful for commissioning major model update work without interrupting model utilization at the plant.
