Siemens and Germany-based TURN2X announced a partnership to advance renewable natural gas production through a comprehensive technological collaboration. The partnership reflects the growing market recognition of renewable natural gas as a key element in achieving a balanced and sustainable energy transition.

TURN2X specializes in producing climate-neutral methane by combining green hydrogen with CO₂ captured from bioethanol plants, creating a renewable alternative to conventional natural gas. By leveraging Siemens’ advanced technology portfolio, the collaboration aims to significantly scale TURN2X’s production capabilities while enhancing operational efficiency.

Under the agreement, Siemens will become one of TURN2X’s preferred suppliers and technology partners, providing a comprehensive suite of solutions from its Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. The collaboration will focus on three core technological areas: first, process optimization through advanced automation systems and instrumentation tailored to TURN2X’s green methane production; second, operational excellence enabled by digital twin technology and energy management solutions for efficient remote plant operations; and third, future-readiness through enhanced cybersecurity and standardized solution development to accelerate new facility deployment. This integrated approach will allow TURN2X to scale production rapidly while maintaining high reliability. By making renewable natural gas production more efficient and scalable, the Siemens–TURN2X partnership will directly support the broader adoption of green energy alternatives.
