Inductive Automation announced the launch of it's Ignition Technology Ecosystem Program, a new initiative designed to help support the discovery of trusted third-party technologies that integrate with or complement the Ignition industrial automation platform.
The program aims to help simplify the process for Ignition users to identify and implement compatible solutions that extend the platform’s functionality. By highlighting select technology providers, Inductive Automation offers users additional visibility into tools and services that align with Ignition’s open architecture.
Key Features
Showcasing third-party technology providers whose products work with or alongside Ignition.
Providing a curated structure to help users identify complementary tools.
Supporting the integration of open, interoperable solutions through Ignition’s software development kit (SDK).
Expanding access to technologies that align with Ignition’s cross-platform and open-standards approach.
Ignition has supported interoperability through features, such as an open software development kit (SDK), OPC UA server integration, SQL database support for historical data, and full cross-platform compatibility. These capabilities have enabled a wide range of third-party providers to develop solutions that either directly integrate with or run alongside the platform.
The new ecosystem program formalizes this network and helps to promote deeper collaboration between Inductive Automation and participating technology providers.
