Yokogawa Announced a New Coriolis Flowmeter Product Line

Yokogawa announced a new Coriolis flowmeter product line, RotaMASS Total Insight at the European User Conference 2016 in Budapest, Hungary.  According to Yokogawa, the new product line has a series of new technical improvements, such as reduced energy consumption, increased accuracy at low flow, improved two-phase flow measurement and higher zero-point stability under process conditions.  The new product line comes with a solution set supporting the full lifecycle, from support with selecting a model to inline functional expansion and replacement of the instrument.  Three elements representing major improvements are "Expert Guide", "Process Guard" and "Maintenance Manager". 

The "Expert Guide" helps the user configure the instrument for different possible applications.  In complex cases such as concentration measurement, FieldMate, a PC or tablet based configuration tool, provides detailed support based on process information entered by the user.  This should considerably simplify the configuration of the complex instrument. 

"Process Guard" provides health status of the instrument and information on events, using the status symbols as defined in the NAMUR NE 107 standard. A data logging function provides detailed information for analysis by experts when an event occurs.  The data can be transmitted by digital communication or using the integrated  microSD card. The same card also contains the instrument configuration as well as the complete device documentation and can be used to multiple configuration other instruments of the same type.

"Maintenance Manager" provides instrument diagnostics, while the instrument is in operation, scheduled or upon request.  In 90 seconds, the instrument checks the tube integrity and other hardware and software functions. Combined with FieldMate, a full health check report can be provided. 

The possibility to upgrade the device at any time even after installation is another strength of the product line.
