I would like to request approval to attend ARC's 22nd Annual Industry Forum to be held on February 12-15, 2018 in Orlando. I have reviewed the agenda as well as the companies participating in this forum and am confident it will provide an excellent ROI for our company on a number of levels.
ARC's Industry Forum includes many sessions focused on the critical issues facing our company, including <cyber security, digital transformation, industrial IoT, asset performance management, additive manufacturing, open automation, and energy management>. The forum offers multiple tracks that will enable me to explore our issues from different perspectives. It provides the ideal environment for me to collaborate, share ideas, and find new ways to attack our most pressing problems. The value that our company will receive well outweighs the cost. By attending this forum, I will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about the newest technologies and business practices, and how to justify the investment to achieve increased performance.
- Network with my peers to see to see how they have solved the same problems facing our company. Over 700 thought leaders in industry are expected to attend the forum.
- Hear keynote presentations from leading executives on the latest trends in industry. Keynote speakers include Kenny Warren from ExxonMobil and Jason Handley from Duke Energy
- Compare the vision and technology roadmaps of the leading suppliers and participate in focused sessions where I can inject our company’s requirements.
- Expand our company’s knowledge by attending some of the over 75+ educational sessions, workshops, and panel sessions
- Develop valuable relationships with my industry peers and supplier executives
Upon my return, I would be happy to abstract my Forum learnings and share a short presentation at our next staff meeting, so that others could benefit as well. ARC has offered to participate in this session via tele-conference or WebEx to answer any questions that may come up.
