Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and automation, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Asco Power Technologies (”ASCO”), a leader in the Automatic Transfer Switch (“ATS”) market for $1,250m (about €1,072m) in an all cash transaction. The acquisition enhances Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Power Platform in key markets and segments.
Schlumberger announced an agreement to acquire a majority (51%) equity interest in Eurasia Drilling Company Limited. Closing of the transaction is subject to approval by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS).
The agreement extends the successful long-term relationship established by the two companies in 2011.
Yokogawa Electric Corporation announced the acquisition of TechInvent2 AS, a Norwegian enterprise that holds the rights to FluidCom, a chemical injection metering valve (CIMV). FluidCom prevents blockages and corrosion in oil wells, pipelines, and other facilities, and employs a patented technology for thermal control. It incorporates the functions of a mass flowmeter, control valve, and valve controller and has very few moving parts.
Waterfall Security Solutions, a global leader in cybersecurity technologies for critical infrastructure and industrial control systems, announced a global partnership with FireEye Inc., the intelligence-led security company, to integrate the FireEye cloud-based Threat Analytics Platform (TAP) with industrial networks using Waterfall’s Unidirectional CloudConnect.
