Hitachi Ltd. and Accudyne Industries announced that the two companies have entered into an agreement regarding Hitachi’s acquisition of Accudyne’s subsidiaries and certain related assets that manufacture and sell air compressors under the “Sullair” brand.  In this transaction, in addition to the shares of Sullair US Purchaser, Inc. (Illinois, USA) and Sullair Asia Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), Hitachi will also acquire 100 percent shares of Silver II Australia Holdings Pty Ltd.

Mentor, a Siemens business, announced it has joined Microsoft Azure Certified for Internet of Things (IoT), helping its customers get IoT solutions up and running faster with hardware and software that has been pre-tested and verified to work with Microsoft Azure IoT services.  Microsoft Azure Certified for IoT allows businesses to reach customers where they are, working with an ecosystem of devices and platforms, helping to quicken time to production.

Aspen Technology, Inc. announced it has acquired rights to Operator Training Simulator (OTS) framework software from Inprocess Technology and Consulting Group of Barcelona, Spain.  Inprocess, developer of the OTS software, is a consulting service company supplying technological services to owner-operators in the oil & gas, refining and chemical process industries.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced a collaboration with the 5G Lab Germany, a consortium of researchers focused on delivering key technologies to enable 5G wireless networks.  Through this collaboration, HPE and the 5G Lab will research the impacts of 5G wireless networks combined with HPE Edgeline Converged Edge Systems on the telecommunications and mobile industries.  Additionally, Edgeline systems will be deployed at the network edge to enable the next generation of applications to take advantage of 5G network
