Schneider Electric, Halliburton Collaborate on E&P Management

Schneider Electric has announced a collaborative project with Landmark, a Halliburton business line that provides integrated E&P software.  Improved asset performance, simplified decision-making and enhanced operational intelligence are among first findings of the project.

The ongoing project aims to provide transparency to E&P decision makers—from oil field to boardroom—with a real-time, integrated view of their business’ performance. 

EnOcean Alliance and IBM Join Forces to Standardize Intelligent Building Solutions for the Internet of Things

The EnOcean Alliance has significantly expanded, and strengthened its program in building automation and the Internet of Things with IBM supporting the EnOcean Alliance as a Promoter Member.

The EnOcean Alliance is a consortium of more than 400 companies, which standardize and develop intelligent building solutions integrating energy harvesting wireless technology. Together, IBM and the EnOcean Alliance will bring sensors to the cloud and develop self-powered solutions as a standard for the Internet of Things.

Siemens to Bring MindSphere to the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform

Siemens plans to make its open IoT ecosystem MindSphere available on Microsoft's Azure cloud platform in 2017. MindSphere enables industrial enterprises to improve the efficiency of plants through the acquisition and analysis of large quantities of production data. The two companies plan to offer the MindSphere platform and affiliated apps on the Azure cloud platform in the future. The use of public cloud services means cutting out the installation and maintenance work involved in creating a dedicated IT infrastructure.

PTC and GE Digital to Expand Strategic Alliance to Focus on IoT Technologies, ThingWorx, and Predix

PTC and GE Digital plans to expand their strategic alliance to bring integrated solutions to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) market. Specifically, the companies will pursue a 'ThingWorx for Predix' technology suite that will make it easier for joint customers to use ThingWorx to develop custom applications that run on Predix, GE's Industrial Internet operating system.

SAP SE and GE Digital Announced Their Intention to Explore Collaboration in the Area of the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT)

Building on the respective strengths of GE Digital and SAP, the companies plan to focus their initial efforts on opportunities to strengthen the integration between GE's Predix operating system and SAP HANA Cloud Platform. Additionally, the companies intend to collaborate in the area of asset management, including SAP Asset Intelligence Network, and to explore and design use cases to enable the "Things to Outcomes" vision for customers in the oil and gas industry.

Siemens and Stratasys Partner to Incorporate Additive Manufacturing into Volume Production

Siemens and Stratasys Ltd. announced a formal partnership to integrate Siemens' Digital Factory solutions with Stratasys' additive manufacturing solutions. The partnership is intended to lay the foundation for the two companies to fulfill their shared vision of incorporating additive manufacturing into the traditional manufacturing workflow, helping it to become a universally recognized production practice that can benefit multiple industries, including aerospace, automotive, transportation, energy and industrial tooling.

TRUMPF and Siemens Partner to Drive the Industrialization of Additive Manufacturing

Laser system manufacturer TRUMPF and engineering technology leader Siemens announced a new partnership to help industrialize laser metal fusion technology and make the additive manufacturing process for metal parts an integral part of the production process. GE Digital’s Acquisition of ServiceMax to Extend Predix and Analytics across Field Service Processes

GE Digital announced it has acquired ServiceMax, a leader in cloud-based field service management (FSM) solutions, for $915 million. The acquisition provides GE Digital with enhanced capabilities to advance its Industrial Internet vision, enabling customers to immediately gain more value from their assets and find greater efficiency in their field service processes.
