Fuji Electric’s Acquisition of N2telligence Strengthens and Expands Fuel Cell Business in Germany and Across Europe

Fuji Electric Co., Ltd. ("FE"), headquartered in Tokyo, announced that its European subsidiary, Fuji Electric Europe GmbH ("FEE") has concluded an agreement to acquire 70 percent of the shares of N2telligence GmbH ("N2"), a company headquartered in Wismar, Germany engaged in the fuel cell business, and that payment of the capital into the company has been completed.

AspenTech’s Intent to Acquire KBC Advanced Technologies and Strengthen Customer Engagement

Aspen Technology, Inc. announced the terms of a recommended all cash offer for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of KBC Advanced Technologies plc by ATI Global Optimisation LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary of AspenTech. Under the terms of the offer, KBC shareholders will receive 185p in cash for each share. The transaction values KBC at approximately £158 million, or approximately $230 million at the current exchange rate. Both companies' boards of directors unanimously support the transaction.

Saipem and Aker Solutions to Cooperate on Subsea Projects

Saipem and Aker Solutions have agreed to cooperate on targeted subsea oil and gas development projects worldwide.

The companies will – through a joint work group – identify opportunities where they can create value for customers by combining Saipem's assets and expertise in engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of subsea infrastructures with Aker Solutions' capabilities in subsea products and technologies.

Yokogawa’s Acquisition of Industrial Evolution Strengthens Its Provision of Advanced Solutions to the Process Industries

Yokogawa Electric Corporation announced the acquisition of Industrial Evolution Inc. to strengthen its provision of advanced solutions to the process industries. The acquisition of Industrial Evolution, a provider of cloud-based plant data sharing services headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, was carried out through Yokogawa Venture Group Inc., a wholly owned Yokogawa subsidiary that was recently established for the purpose of executing strategic mergers and acquisitions for the industrial automation and control business.

AT&T and IBM Expand Their Strategic Relationship in Managed Application and Managed Hosting Services

AT&T and IBM announced they are expanding their long-term strategic relationship to bring businesses a full suite of advanced networking, application and hosting services. Under the agreement, AT&T will transition its managed application and managed hosting services unit to IBM. IBM will then align these managed service capabilities with the IBM Cloud portfolio. IBM will also acquire equipment and access to floor space in AT&T data centers currently supporting the applications and managed hosting operations

Termination of Discussions between Schneider Electric and AVEVA

Further to the statement on July 20, 2015 by Schneider Electric SE regarding its preliminary, non-binding agreement with AVEVA Group PLC ("AVEVA") on the key terms and conditions of a proposed combination of selected Schneider Electric industrial software assets and AVEVA, Schneider Electric announced that such discussions have ended. The two parties have decided to stop their discussions by mutual consent as no agreement could be reached on the terms of transaction.
