IBM announced that it has launched Watson Workspace Essentials.

The Endress+Hauser Group (E+H) is further strengthening its quality measurement portfolio through the acquisition of IMKO Micromodultechnik GmbH, a manufacturer of innovative moisture measurement systems. The acquisition of IMKO will become effective on October 1^st 2017. The companies have agreed to keep the details of the transaction confidential. IMKO’s headquarters will remain in Ettlingen, Germany; the company’s 19 employees have been retained.

Red Lion Controls announced new additions to its N-Tron series of industrial Ethernet switches. The new Power over Ethernet (PoE) and non-POE models are designed for industrial applications requiring reliability, Gigabit performance, advanced management features and ease of use. Reliability maximizes network uptime, preventing lost production, or even worse, a safety risk. M12 cable connections ensure continuity in applications where motion or vibration exist, and the switches are ruggedized to operate in the harshest conditions.
