ABB has announced the launch of ABB Ability™ InSite Energy Pro, a cloud-based energy management solution designed to help businesses remotely monitor and optimize energy usage across multiple sites. Powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the platform offers real-time analytics, automated load management, and customizable dashboards to support more efficient and informed energy decisions.
As organizations navigate tightening energy efficiency regulations and rising operational costs, InSite Energy Pro delivers a unified, user-friendly interface for managing energy across multi-dwelling units and mid-sized commercial properties. The platform enables building owners, developers, and energy managers to access actionable insights, improve demand response strategies, and reduce energy expenditures.

At the core of the InSite energy management system is the SCU200 control unit, which serves as a central hub for managing a range of connected devices, including breakers, meters, and EV chargers. Through the InSite Energy Pro interface, users gain comprehensive visibility into their energy landscape, allowing for better load control and system optimization.
The platform includes customizable dashboards that visualize energy consumption data across locations, enabling users to compare real-time and historical trends, identify inefficiencies, and implement best practices. Alerts and automation capabilities support operational continuity, allowing for quick responses to events such as breaker trips or threshold exceedances.
InSite Energy Pro’s automated load management dynamically adjusts energy usage based on user-defined parameters, such as peak demand periods or renewable energy availability. These features help reduce energy costs and minimize grid-related charges.
Supporting Regulatory Compliance and Sustainability Goals
The solution also supports compliance with international energy management standards, including ISO 50001. Built-in reporting tools track key performance indicators such as energy consumption, peak demand, and power quality, helping organizations document performance and meet sustainability targets.
